    Recipe: Baked Coffee Cream

    I’ve been a tea drinker for as long as I can remember, but lately I somehow switched over to coffee. Though I don’t know why I did this but I kind of liked it. Change always works! Coffee is so much on my mind these days…it’s not just a mug-full with the breakfast that I crave for, but I’m getting obsessed with the dessert coffee recipes too.

    You can’t resist the heavenly aroma of baked coffee, can you?! And that too with chocolate and a little caster sugar sprinkled over. Okay, you can drool over your keyboards now!

    And what more…it would be an additional advantage if that recipe is incredibly easy and comes from your favorite cooking expert. It is a wonderful dessert that can work exceptionally well for your casual tea parties and you can even have kids help you with it. They’ll love it more.

    Okay, so here goes;

    Ingredients:

    • Fresh cream: 2 packs
    • Skimmed milk: 1 cup
    • Coffee powder: 1 tbsp
    • Bread crumbs: 1 cup
    • Condensed milk: 1 pack
    • Egg yolks: 2
    • Caster sugar: as required
    • Nuts: as required
    • Chocolate sauce: as required

    Method:

    Preheat your oven at 150 degree centigrade. In a saucepan, mix skimmed milk, coffee and fresh cream. Cook this mixture on low heat for a while. Now gradually add condensed milk and egg yolks to the mixture and mix well. Remove from the heat and let it cool down. Then add bread crumbs to the mixture and mix well. Then put the mixture in small moulds and bake it. Top it with caster sugar or nuts of your choice.

    My Variation: Grounded nuts can also be added in the mixture to give it a more rich texture, maybe. Also, if you’re a chocolate lover; top it with a little chocolate sauce and enjoy.

    So, that’s about it. Isn’t that easy?! And yummy too.
